Donating to a worthy cause

As of January 9th, 2009, I have decided that all money made from this site, through its advertisements or any other means, will be donated to Interchange Outer East, which is a fantastic community-based non profit program that provides camps and excursions for children with disabilities. I have been volunteering for them since May 2008 and having a fantastic time with the brilliant staff and other volunteers as we take small groups of kids with disabilities ranging from learning difficulties to cerebral palsy on all kinds of fun activities.

With this group I have been to laser tags, a disco, swimming, scienceworks, bowling, movies, aquariums, ferris wheels, clown shows, go karting, rock climbing, minigolf, museums, musicals, farms, festivals, parks, playgrounds, beaches, railways, a fire station, mazes, drive-in movies, archery, roller skating, community playgrounds, african drumming, magic shows and at least twelve camps.

Since I got a job in October 2008, I am no longer in any way dependant on the income that I make through advertisements on the site, so I have decided to make the primarily symbolic gesture of forwarding every cent that the site makes to IOE. All of the site's hosting fees I will now pay directly out of my own money.

Details of donations will be posted on this page as they occur.
At the current rate, it should be about once every three-four months.
